About Therapy and Reaching Out to Anna:

“Your mental health is everything – prioritize it. Make the time like your life depends on it, because it does.” Mel Robbins

“Seeing a therapist doesn’t mean you’re crazy, or bad, or sick. A therapist is like a… a guide. He knows the signs, the roads, the pits. He can help you find the pain inside, acknowledge it and its cause, and get past it.” Steven Gould

Accepting New Clients.

You are an intelligent, sophisticated, and open-minded individual who is an expert on who you are. You recognize the need to talk to someone and share your troubles, thoughts, and feelings.

You may be searching for acceptance, understanding, or the undivided attention that both listening and therapy can provide. You may need the reassurance that what you have to share is going to be heard and received without judgment.

Whether you are feeling anxious, depressed, angry, stressed, grieving, frustrated, or just need to hear another perspective, the assurance that you are not alone in your thoughts can help ease the anguish.

About Anna:

I am a registered counselling therapist, a registered therapeutic counsellor, as well as a counselling hypnotherapist. As such, I have years of experience helping others who have experienced stress and anxiety, depression, grief and loss, as well as those who needed crisis or suicide intervention.

The main focus of my practice is psychotherapy (talk therapy). If a client would like to explore counselling hypnotherapy, it can be added into the sessions at no extra charge.

Trusted, safe guidance and deep listening abilities are what I provide in my therapy sessions. I offer a gentle and soothing experience where compassion is anchored in kindness. The therapy I provide is an empowering exploration of moving forward, mentally and emotionally.

Please call or email, and together, let’s create a path for you to happiness.

How It Works:

After an initial 20-minute consultation (no charge), a therapy session is 1 hr 30 minutes.  The consultation allows me to explore what you would like to work on and how often you would like to meet.  The consultation can take place over Zoom, through a phone call, or in person.  I am open to going from a consultation right into a counselling session if you would prefer. The therapy sessions can take place in person (my home office) or through Zoom. I am located in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

Please note that all my therapy sessions are by appointment only. My counselling practice focuses on working with one client at a time. Adults only.

Fees:

Each therapy session is $140.00, and payment must be made in full before the start of the session.

Payment can be made by e-transfer, and the payment is non-refundable.  I am also available for mobile counselling; in other words, I can come to you.  However, some stipulations will apply, such as a mileage charge.

If you would like to use employee benefits for my therapy sessions, please keep in mind that, as I am not a social worker, psychologist, or psychiatrist, for my therapy sessions to be covered by your employee insurance benefits, I strongly encourage you to please check your benefits to make sure that your coverage includes the words “counselling” or “psychotherapy”.

For example, although I am a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor (RTC) and I am recognized by Sun Life, not all Sun Life policies will cover counselling sessions unless it is with a social worker, psychologist, or a psychiatrist.

It is up to you to self-submit therapy receipts for reimbursement from your insurance provider.
